Punkie’s History
Marian Alexander was born in Wellesley, Massachusetts where, as a child, she grew up loving art. Her mother called her “Pumpkin” and high school and college friends named her “Punkie”. While studying art at Stevens College in Missouri, Marian met her husband Matt and moved to a small rural town known as Appleton City, Missouri. The drawings that you can see are ones she did in the 1970s.
As a farmer’s wife, she also had a passion for home-style cooking and prepared fantastic home-cooked meals for her family and hired hands. This salad dressing was her favorite, and many friends asked for it by name. We are proud to share with you her dressing, known as “Punkie’s Favorite”
